During the course of this study, the City of Redwood City
and the City of San Mateo expressed interest in participating in the study to investigate potable reuse
opportunities in the region. Together, the PREP parties recognize that regional collaboration offers
opportunities to address multiple water supply and wastewater challenges, while realizing the benefits of
shared infrastructure, asset recovery, economies of scale, and a more competitive strategy to pursue
funding, in addition to enhancing regional self-reliance through integrated water management.
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
23
