From:
Judith Kirk
To:
GRP -City Council
Subject:
Agenda item 7a
Date:
Monday, November 9, 2020 12:52:40 PM
I want housing, and I want that land for a park. We CAN do both. It is foolish to lose that piece of land FOREVER
to housing The land is zoned industrial, it is going to be affected by sea level rise, and sooner than we thought. The
county has other sites we can use for housing and a navigation center that are much closer to all the amenities
residents will need. The hotels are one. The Public Works yard is the other I favor. Those can be used for the
navigation center, at least, and we won't be losing a beautiful piece of harbor that can never be replaced. I want
both. Publlc Works yard or hotel for navigation center/housing, AND the park. AND residents in RC must be
included before a decision is made.
Thank you so much.
Judy (and John) Kirk
