Exercise caution when <br />opening attachments or clicking links, especially from unknown senders. <br />Honorable Mayor Howard, Vice -Mayor Masur, City Council Members: <br />On November 16, 2020 you will have for your consideration the updated Climate Action Plan and <br />related documents for your consideration. You are all well aware of the dire situation the world <br />faces with climate change. This plan sets forth steps for Redwood City to continue to address these <br />serious issues. <br />I am asking that, in approving this plan, you will not only demonstrate your commitment to <br />addressing the crisis, but will also commit to a process to continually monitor its progress closely. I <br />hope that through your City Manager you will ensure that the plan trickles down through all City <br />departments and sections, and will be set incorporated as goals and timetables in all pertinent staff's <br />performance appraisals. What gets measured gets done. <br />I also ask that the Council and key staff remain on full alert for new technological or other <br />opportunities that may allow the City to make this plan even more aggressive.
