EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1. Scope of Services. Consultant shall provide thorough, accurate and professional <br />services both On -Site at the City of Redwood City offices and Off -Site as follows: <br />1.1 Plan Review Services. Consultant shall perform plan review services as <br />directed by the Project Administrator. All plan review services provided by <br />Consultant s h a I I include the initial plan review and all subsequent re -reviews <br />as necessary for building permit issuance. <br />1.2 Building Inspection Services. Consultant shall perform building inspection <br />services for a specified number of hours as directed by the Project Administrator. <br />These services s h a I I include review of all approved plans, specifications and <br />documents, review and respond to all inspection requests and reports, attend <br />mandatory meetings, including, but not limited to, safety training, City staff <br />coordination, applicant progress and project management meetings, <br />perform inspections for compliance to applicable State of California Building, <br />Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire codes, as well as State energy efficiency <br />and accessibility standards as amended by the City of Redwood City. Consultant's <br />services may include a State of California registered Fire Protection Engineer, to <br />complete all Fire Code inspection services requested by the City, or CASp <br />certified inspections as directed by the City of Redwood Community Development <br />and Transportation Director, Chief Building Official or their designee. <br />1.3 Permitting Services. Consultant shall perform permit process services for a <br />specified number of hours as directed by the Project Administrator. Consultant <br />shall assist architects, contractors and the public in accepting, processing and <br />tracking applications for building permits, calculating and collecting permit fees, <br />and providing General Plan and Zoning information. These services include front <br />counter and phone assistance regarding building permit requirements, plan <br />check fees, plan check filing procedures and processing, and permit status, <br />accept permit applications, calculate and apply fees, and reviews plans for <br />conditions of prior approval. <br />1.4 Code Enforcement Services. Consultant shall perform code enforcement <br />services for a specified number of hours as directed by the Project Administrator. <br />These services shall include identifying code violations and engaging stakeholders <br />and responsible parties to correct code violations consistent with municipal and <br />state codes tailored to the specific needs of the City. <br />1.4.1 Applicable Codes.
