67. Fire Apparatus Access Roads - shall extend to within 150 feet of all portions of the facilities and all <br />portions of the exterior walls of the first story of all buildings as measured by approved hose pull <br />routes around the exterior of the buildings and garage as per CFC section 503.1.1. <br />a. There are portions of buildings A and E that are not within the required <br />150 foot hose pull distance. <br />b. The plans indicate that there will be exterior automatic standpipe <br />connections provided on Building A and E as acceptable mitigation for deficient hose pull. <br />68. Automatic Fire Sprinklers / Standpipe Systems — The proposed buildings are required to be <br />equipped with automatic fire sprinkler systems and standpipe systems with connections in <br />stairwells and the roof meeting NFPA Standard's 13 and 14. <br />a. The plans indicate that these will be a deferred submittal. <br />69. Fire Department Connections — FDC's to the fire sprinkler / standpipe systems shall be located at <br />the fire access side of all buildings within 50 feet of a Fire Hydrant. <br />a. The plans indicate that the proposed locations of the fire department <br />connections are within 50 feet of the existing and proposed new fire hydrants. <br />70. Fire Alarm System Required — UL Central Station fully addressable fire alarm systems are required <br />meeting NFPA 72. Provide plans and voltage drop calculations for the design of these systems. <br />a. The plans indicate that this will be a deferred submittal. <br />b. All buildings required to have fire pumps installed for automatic fire <br />sprinklers and standpipes are required to have back -power sources in the form of back- <br />up generators with a fuel storage capacity of 12 hours if electric fire pumps are proposed <br />to be utilized as the fire department no longer considers Pacific Gas and Electric power to <br />be reliable with the impending Public Safety Power Shutoffs. CFC 913.2. <br />c. An acceptable alternative is diesel driven fire pumps with fuel storage for <br />12 hours of run time. <br />71. Premises Identification (Address Numbers) - Indicate on the plans where the premises <br />identification (address) will be located and the size (minimum 12") in a contrasting background <br />facing the street from which the building takes the address CFC 505. <br />72, Portable Fire Extinguishers Required - Portable fire extinguishers, with a minimum classification of <br />2A:10BC are required to be permanently installed in all buildings in the common areas within 75 <br />feet of travel from all portions of the building in compliance with NFPA 10 and CFC 906. <br />73. Fire Apparatus Access Road - <br />a.
