6.1). - Page 66 of 179 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4749 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO FILE A RESPONSE TO THE SAN MATEO <br />GRAND JURY REPORT. DATED MAY 24, 2016, ENTITLED <br />"BODY CAMERAS—THE REEL TRUTH" <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to California Penal Code section 933, a public agency, which <br />receives a Grand Jury Report addressing aspects of the public agency's operations, must <br />respond to the Report's findings and recommendations contained in the Report in writing <br />within ninety days to the Presiding Judge of the San Mateo County Superior Court; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the San Mateo Grand Jury <br />Report, dated May 24, 2016, entitled "Body Cameras—The Reel Truth"; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the response to the <br />Grand Jury, which is Exhibit A accompanying this Resolution, including an Implementation <br />Plan and Schedule; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />East Palo Alto hereby approves the City Council's response letter to the San Mateo Grand <br />Jury Report, dated May 24, 2016, entitled "Body Cameras—The Reel Truth." as stated in <br />Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by this reference; and authorizes the Mayor to sign <br />the response letter and transmit it to the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of San Mateo <br />County. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of July 2016, by the following vote: <br />AYES: MOODY, GAUTHIER, RUTHERFORD, ABRICA, ROMERO <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br />ATTEST: <br />Terrie Gillen, Deputy City Clerk <br />SIGNED: <br />7 <br />Donna Rutherford, ay <br />AP13ROVTD,AS TO FORM: <br />.
