Joseph C. Scott: <br />On behalf of the City of Pacifica, this letter serves as the City's response to the report named <br />above, and was approved by the City Council at its August 8, 2016 meeting. Pursuant to <br />California Penal Code Section 933.05, the City is responding to each finding and to each <br />recommendation individually. <br />FINDINGS <br />F1. The Atherton, Belmont, Foster City, Hillsborough, and Menlo Park Police Departments have <br />deployed body -worn camera systems. <br />The City of Pacifica agrees with this finding. <br />F2. The Sheriff's Office and five of the city police departments that have not deployed body - <br />worn cameras all expressed similar concerns regarding the implementation of these <br />systems, the cost of the equipment, the cost of data retention, and policy development. <br />The City of Pacifica agrees with this finding. <br />Path of Portola 17699 San Francisco Bay Discovery Site <br />106 <br />
