6.E. - Page 1 of 27 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />\1AW <br />DATE: November 23, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Amendment No. 1 to Agreement for Services with Technology, Engineering & Construction, Inc., doing <br />business as TEC Accutite, for underground and aboveground storage tank services <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement for <br />Services with Technology, Engineering & Construction, Inc., doing business as TEC Accutite, increasing the <br />contract value by an amount not to exceed $200,000, resulting in an aggregate agreement amount not to <br />exceed $259,750. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />In December 2019, the City entered into a two-year agreement with TEC Accutite for underground and <br />aboveground storage tank services. TEC Accutite was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for <br />the services. The scope of the agreement covers maintenance, monitoring, inspection, testing and repair <br />to twelve gas, diesel, and used oil storage tanks located at City facilities. <br />The Public Works Services Department has identified the need to replace the aboveground fuel storage <br />tank at Fire Station 11 as part of the tank inspection, testing, and repair program currently managed under <br />contract by TEC Accutite. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore <br />219 <br />
