Partners <br />Appendix <br />In addition to the partners listed here, the newly launched Bay Area Climate Action Mapping Project <br />(https://www.bayareaclimateactionmap.orq/) lists additional organizations actively working on climate action. <br />EA Public Sector <br />Organization Description <br />Bay Area Regional Energy Led by the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), BayREN provides regional - <br />Network (BayREN) scale energy efficiency programs, services, and resources for single-family and multi- <br />family homes, and small and medium-size businesses. BayREN supports cities in <br />BAM <br />developing reach codes, and local building departments in complying with the Energy <br />Code through trainings, events, and compliance tools. A water bill savings program is <br />launching in 2020. In San Mateo County, the program is administered by the County of <br />L�ia,S 11 kIVEIttexillullCE113JII" San Mateo Office of Sustainability. www.bayren.org <br />C/CAG is a council of governments consisting of the County of San Mateo and its 20 cities <br />and towns. The organization deals with topics such as transportation, air quality, <br />stormwater runoff, hazardous waste, solid waste and recycling, land use near airports, <br />abandoned vehicle abatement, and issues that affect general quality of life. C/CAG <br />supports several sustainability initiatives including: <br />San Mateo County Energy Watch. A local government partnership between PG&E and <br />C/CAG to promote energy efficiency in municipal and non-profit buildings. C/CAG serves as the Congestion Management <br />Agency for San Mateo County to identify strategies to respond to future transportation <br />needs, develop procedures to alleviate and control congestion, and promote countywide <br />solutions. httDs://ccaa.ca.aov/Droarams/transportation-Droarams/conaestion- <br />management/ <br />City/County Association of Sustainable Communities Strategy/Regional Transportation Plan. C/CAG is <br />Governments of San Mateo collaborating with local governments and regional agencies to develop a Sustainable <br />County (C/CAG) Communities Strategy (SCS) in compliance with the requirements of SB 375. The SCS <br />will facilitate more focused development in priority development areas near public transit <br />stations. The aim of the San Mateo County SCS is to better integrate land use with public <br />C"Q transportation in order to reduce GHG emissions. The San Mateo Countywide <br />Transportation Plan was adopted by the C/CAG Board of Directors in February 2017. The <br />Plan can be found online at: https://ccag.ca.gov/programs/countywide-transportation- <br />Ip an/ <br />San Mateo County Energy and Water Strategy 2025. This Plan provides a <br />comprehensive roadmap for addressing challenges in the energy and water sectors in <br />San Mateo County through 2025. It was developed by the County of San Mateo Office of <br />Sustainability and the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County <br />(C/CAG) with extensive input from expert local stakeholders from other public agencies, <br />community-based organizations, and the private sector. <br />San Mateo Countywide Water Pollution Prevention Program (SMCWPPP). The <br />program is a partnership of C/CAG, each incorporated city and town in the County, and <br />the County of San Mateo, which share a common National Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System (NPDES) permit. The goal of the collaboration is to reduce the pollution carried <br />by stormwater into local creeks, the San Francisco Bay, and the Pacific Ocean. Permittees <br />developed Green Infrastructure Plans to prompt specific reductions in mercury and PCBs <br />(polychlorinated biphenyls) from entering the Bay via stormwater by 2040. <br />City of Redwood City Climate Action Plan 91 <br />
