Contractor shall submit shop drawings on all electroliers, fixtures, and signal system <br />equipment components, and catalogue cuts of conduits, conductors, pull boxes, and other <br />equipment for approval prior to ordering material and equipment. <br />B. Traffic Control Plan: When work will occur on or adjacent to the right-of-way, submit a <br />Traffic Control Plan is accordance with Section 01550 72 hours in advance for approval <br />prior to starting work. <br />1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. All work shall be done under the supervision of, and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br />B. Installation shall be in conformance with the NEC. <br />C. All material for signals and safety lighting shall require the Underwriters' Laboratories <br />label, except material for which U. L. does not provide label service listing. <br />D. All material shall be new, packed in original containers, installed or turned over to the City <br />free of rust, corrosion, or any other defects. <br />E. To the extent possible, all equipment or materials for any one system shall be furnished <br />by the same manufacturer. Such items as conduit, conduit fittings and appurtenances <br />supplied for any one system shall be the same throughout the project. <br />F. Compaction, Compression, and Tests: <br />1. The percentage of compaction or the compressive strength specified shall be the <br />minimum allowable. <br />2. Compressive strength of concrete shall be determined utilizing test cylinders taken <br />during the pour at such times and frequencies as designated by the City Engineer. <br />Sampling shall be in accordance with the requirements of ASTM C172 and the <br />specimens shall be made and cured in accordance with the requirements of ASTM <br />C31. Compression testing shall conform to the requirements of ASTM C39. <br />G. Certification of Materials: <br />1. Portland Cement Concrete: When requested, provide City Engineer with two (2) <br />copies of mill test reports of aggregate, cement, and reinforcement supplied, <br />showing compliance with the respective Specifications. <br />2. Provide City Engineer with copies of certified plant load -out slips showing volume <br />of concrete delivered and time of mixing for each load. <br />1.05 JOB CONDITIONS <br />A.
