6.A. - Page 1 of 70 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />A,&/ <br />DATE: January 25, 2021 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Acceptance of the budget increase for the California (CA) Natural Resource Agency Grant Award and the <br />United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Water Quality Improvement Fund Award from San <br />Mateo County, and execute the Design Professional Agreement for engineering services, for the Regional <br />Stormwater Capture Project at Red Morton Park <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Design Professional Agreement for <br />engineering services and environmental review with Craftwater Engineering Inc. for the Regional <br />Stormwater Capture Project at Red Morton Park in the amount of $1,113,333; and <br />2. Adopt a resolution accepting a U.S. Water Quality Improvement Fund award of $200,000 from the <br />United States Environmental Protection Agency via the County Of San Mateo; accepting a grant award of <br />$913,333 from the California Natural Resources Agency; authorizing the City Manager to execute the grant <br />agreements and related contract documents; and increasing the capital outlay fund revenue and <br />expenditure budgets by $1,113,333. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />On June 24, 2019, the City Council adopted the Green Infrastructure (GI) Plan intended to reduce pollution <br />in stormwater flowing to the San Francisco Bay.
