Submission of Proposals <br />Proposals must be postmarked or delivered on or before Wednesday, January 6, 2021, <br />at which time they will be recorded and forwarded to a Selection Advisory Committee <br />for evaluation. <br />Proposals must be sealed and sent to: <br />City of Redwood City <br />Attn: City Clerk <br />1017 Middlefield Road <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />The Proposer shall submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of its proposal in a sealed <br />envelope, addressed as noted above, bearing the Proposer's name and address clearly <br />marked, "SEALED BID FOR LIBRARY MEETING ROOM FURNITURE DUE WEDNESDAY, <br />JANUARY 6, 2021" The use of double sided paper is encouraged. <br />The Proposer shall also email a pdf version of the Proposal to: <br />dwolfgram@a redwoodcity.org or include a CD or USB drive containing the pdf version <br />with the sealed Proposal by the RFP Submittal Deadline of Wednesday, January 6, 2021. <br />3.4. Withdrawal of Proposals <br />A Proposer may withdraw its Proposal at any time before the RFP Submittal Deadline by <br />delivering a written request for withdrawal signed by, or on behalf of, the Proposer. <br />3.5. Rights of the City of Redwood City <br />This RFP does not commit the City to enter into a contract, nor does it obligate the City <br />to pay for any costs incurred in preparation and submission of Proposals or in <br />anticipation of a contract. The City reserves the right to: <br />• Make the selection based on its sole discretion; <br />• Reject any and all Proposals; <br />• Issue subsequent Request for Proposals; <br />• Postpone contract start date for its own convenience; <br />• Remedy technical errors in the RFP process; <br />• Approve or disapprove the use of particular sub -consultants; <br />• Negotiate with any, all or none of the Proposers; <br />• Accept other than the lowest offer; <br />• Cancel the RFP and reject any and all quotations in whole or in part when it is in <br />the best interest of the City; <br />• Waive informalities and irregularities in the Proposals; <br />• Enter into an agreement with another Proposer in the event the originally <br />selected Proposer defaults or fails to execute an agreement with the City; and <br />• Enter into an agreement with multiple Proposers for different portions of work <br />as outlined in Attachment A (Scope of Services). <br />LIBRARY MEETING ROOM FURNITURE 3 <br />149 <br />
