From:
Kathie Fossett
To:
GRP -City Council
Subject:
SEQUOIA STATION
Date:
Tuesday, February 2, 2021 12:00:19 PM
CAUTION: This email originated from outside your organization. Exercise caution when
opening attachments or clicking links, especially from unknown senders.
Hi all,
I'm very concerned about this proposed development. Right now, Redwood City has quite a
bit of expensive office space that is going unused. We can't foresee when and if we will
need more. Many of us are now working from home and it's possible that many businesses
may continue the work from home model and thus need less office space after COVID-19
recovery.
What I do see is a strong need for affordable housing... at all levels.
I understand that the revenue from this project is important... even necessary for Redwood
City to function but it seems wiser to wait and see what the needs of our community will be
after businesses can fully reopen and the economy gets back on its feet.
Please consider slowing this down a bit until we can see the future a bit more clearly.
Thanks, Kathie Fosgett
