From: Judy Borcz
To: GRP -City Council
Subject: Sequoia Station Development - Size must be reconsidered
Date: Tuesday, February 2, 2021 11:12:44 AM
CAUTION: This email originated from outside your organization. Exercise caution when opening attachments or
clicking links, especially from unknown senders.
To the City Council,
I would like to strongly request you reconsider the size of the Sequoia Station development proposal. The project
plan states that 1.25M sq. ft. of office space is proposed. That size is 4x both Box buildings combined. Our
downtown is becoming so huge and over -built as to be almost unrecognizable. The amount of traffic that would be
coming in to town from this office space is formidable, and highway 101 cannot be expanded at the Woodside
interchange. This office space would create a demand for 1000+ market rate and 1000+ affordable housing units,
while only 625 units, of which 240 would be affordable are planned.
I realize this proposal is set up for convenience to the train system, but it is far to huge for the town to keep a
reasonable character without gridlock. Please reconsider and significantly require the project to be downsized.
Regards,
Judith Borcz
Redwood City Resident
