February 8, 2021
Dear Mayor and City Council,
My name is Jorge Rodriguez. I live at , here in Redwood City and I am a
carpenter of Lu#217. I hope that you approve the Transit District Pan. It makes so much sense.
Being able to hop on and off -of transit is something that we should not let pass us by, because,
that is exactly what will happen if we let it. The TDP is more than just a plan it, is an
opportunity that only comes once in a lifetime. To have the ability to connect our city up and
down the peninsula in a manner that improves transit, helps reduce traffic and makes it safer
for all of us to travel through our community.
The TDP brings opportunity for development also, which will bring much needed affordable
housing to our community. This plan will help create good paying Union jobs in the
construction industry which also provides healthcare and retirement benefits. Allowing me and
my fellow brothers and sisters to continue to live and work in this beautiful place, we call home.
While also creating opportunity for a career in the construction industry for many men and
women, of which, are people of color, dis-advantaged youth and returning military vets.
This plan will improve the lives of everybody in our community and I hope that you approve
it.
Thank you,
Jorge Rodriguez
