6.A. - Page 3 of 9 <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funding has already been appropriated in the following funds: <br />Middlefield Road Streetscape Project <br />Fiscal Year 2019-2020 — Capital Outlay Fund — Middlefield Road Utility Underground/ Streetscape, which <br />has an available balance of $503,792 as of January 14, 2021. <br />Sewer Collection System Replacement <br />Project Fiscal Year 2019-2020 — Sewer Fund Capital Projects — Collection System Replacement Project, <br />which has an available balance of $1,046,535 as of January 14, 2021. <br />Water Distribution System Replacement Project <br />Project Fiscal Year 2019-2020 — Water Fund Capital Projects — Distribution System Replacement Project, <br />which has an available balance of $4,685,450 as of January 14, 2021. <br />Utility Encroachment Permits <br />Fiscal Year 2020-2021 — General Fund — Subdivision Engineering, which has associated cost recovery <br />deposits that are received from developers and utility companies that will be used for inspection services. <br />Should the operating budget for Subdivision Engineering be exceeded with this contract, a yearend budget <br />amendment will be requested. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council may choose not to amend the contract and direct staff to find alternate methods for <br />providing engineering inspection services.
