James O’Connell
Red Morton Community Park Regional Stormwater Capture Project, Redwood City, CA – Phase 2A
11 June 14, 2021
Key data and decision factors that may help inform sanitation district representatives include preliminary analysis
of sewer system capacity and conceptual project impacts to plant peaking factor, potential impacts of sediment
and emerging priority pollutants such as PFAS to treatment system efficacy, and potential long-term operations
and maintenance costs associated with increased sediment and/or pollutant loading to key plant treatment
processes.
Deliverable:
Meeting materials (handouts, agendas, presentation content, meeting minutes, comment forms/input
exercise materials) for up to 2 meetings, totaling up to 4 hours of meeting time
9.4 Sewer Discharge Analysis
After discussions with the Sanitation District, additional modeling effort is required to understand the impacts
that prescribed discharge windows and capacity constraints have on the BMP system performance. Craftwater
Engineering will develop the sewer discharge model that addresses the information requirements from the
Sanitation District. The model will simulate long-term stormwater runoff capture from the Jefferson Branch
Drain which would be subsequently filtered, stored in the reservoir, and discharged to the Drain or to the
sanitary sewer. The model constraints will incorporate the peak and off-peak sewer capacity constraints
established by the Sanitation Districts.
Deliverable
Red Morton Park SW Project Sewer Discharge Analysis Table
ATTY/AGR.2021/Amend No. 1/Craftwater Inc (Page 14 of 16)
