<br />7A (2) <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Rape Trauma Services - Rape and Sexual Abuse Prevention Proaram. <br />RTS' Rape and Sexual Abuse Prevention Program provides rape prevention and <br />education in the community including Violence Prevention Education, Self- <br />Defense and Assertiveness Training, and Community Outreach. Funding <br />Requested: $10,000. Funding Recommended: $8,000. <br /> <br />Rape Trauma Services - Sexual Assault Services Proaram. The Sexual <br />Assault Services Program provides information, resources, and support to sexual <br />assault survivors and their loved ones. Activities include 24-hour hotline, <br />advocacy, counseling, and information and referrals. Funding Requested: <br />$10,000. Funding Recommended: $10,000. <br /> <br />Samaritan House - Free Clinic of Redwood City. The Free Clinic of <br />Redwood City provides free primary, preventive, and specialty care to the <br />uninsured. Services include primary, preventive, and specialty care as well as <br />vision and dental care. Funding Requested: $20,000. Funding Recommended: <br />$17,000. <br /> <br />Second Harvest Food Bank - Operation Brown Baa. Operation Brown Bag <br />assists low-income seniors 60+ years old or low-income disabled individuals 55- <br />59 years old with their food needs: weekly groceries, nutrition and food safety. In <br />addition, the program provides an opportunity for seniors to volunteer at it's <br />various sites. Second Harvest operates two sites in Redwood City - Casa de <br />Redwood and Fair Oaks Senior Center. Funding Requested: $10,000. Funding <br />Recommended: $8,000. <br /> <br />Service Leaaue of San Mateo County - Emeraency Material Assistance. <br />The Emergency Material Assistance program provides for the basic needs of <br />food, clothing, transportation, and temporary shelter for residents recently <br />released from San Mateo County jails, their immediate families, and the families <br />of those who are in custody who reside in Redwood City. Funding Requested: <br />$20,000. Funding Recommended: $15,000. <br /> <br />Service Leaaue/Hope House. Hope House provides a 180-day recovery <br />program for women who are released from the San Mateo County Women's <br />Correctional Program and who have a desire to resolve their alcohol and/or drug <br />addictions before returning to the community. As women graduate, they return <br />to the community and are supported in their successful recovery through an <br />alumni group. Funding Requested: $10,000. Funding Recommended: $7,000. <br /> <br />Teen Preanancy Coalition. Teen Pregnancy Coalition provides educational <br />programs for youth in the community on teen pregnancy prevention. The <br />coalition provides "Teen Talk" for youth, "Plain Talk" for parents, teen panel <br />presentations composed of pregnant and parenting teens, and teacher in- <br />servicelworkshops.
