The IISA will expand their services by contracting an experienced <br />immigration attorney who could provide legal assistance to Redwood City <br />families facing the possibility of detention and/or deportation of one or more <br />members of their family. Funding Requested: $5,000. Funding Recommended: <br />$4,000. <br /> <br />International Institute of San Francisco - San Mateo County Immiaration. <br />Cltizenshio. and Community Education Proaram. The JlSF Immigration, <br />Citizenship, and Community Education Program provides legal services for <br />newcomers to obtain work authorization, reunite family members, and obtain US <br />Citizenship. Funding Requested: $25,000. Funding Recommended: $10,000. <br /> <br />Leaal Aid Society of San Mateo County - Homesavers Proaram. The <br />Homesavers Program provides individual legal assistance to help low income <br />San Mateo County residents stay in their homes. Specifically, Legal Aid offers a <br />weekly housing clinic at the Fair Oaks Community Center assisting clients with <br />eviction defense, habitability issues, and general landlord/tenant issues. Funding <br />Requested: $20,000. Funding Recommended: $10,000. <br /> <br />Ombudsman Services of San Mateo County. Inc. Ombudsman Services <br />proVides advocacy services for residents of long-term care facilities for seniors <br />and persons with development disabilities - including facility monitoring and <br />investigation of complaints regarding the violation of resident rights. Funding <br />Requested: $10,000. Funding Recommended: $10,000. <br /> <br />Peninsula Volunteers. Inc - Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels provides <br />hot meals to seniors and disabled individuals of the community who are <br />homebound and unable to prepare or shop for food. Meals on Wheels can be <br />provided during short-term convalescence or long-term disability. Funding <br />Requested: $25,000. Funding Recommended: $12,000. <br /> <br />Peninsula Volunteers. Ine - Rosener House. Rosener House adult day <br />support center provides therapies and social activities for elders with disabilities <br />Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5: 30pm including hot lunch and snacks.
