Post Storm Flow Phase: <br /> <br />The Post Storm Flow Phase begins after the tide gage at the San Mateo <br />Bridge drops below 5.5 feet NGVD, and when available hydrologic data <br />indicates decreasing rainfall, tide levels, and channel flows. The phase <br />ends after rainfall has ceased and after all the major operations indicated <br />in the following subparagraphs have been completed. <br /> <br />Demobilization - Partial demobilization is permitted during this phase. <br />However, full demobilization shall be delayed until the operations under <br />this Post Storm Flow Phase have been completed. <br /> <br />Patrolling and Maintenance - During the Post Storm Flow Phase the <br />levees shall be rapidly but completely patrolled. The responsibility of the <br />patrols shall include the following: <br />1. Locating, Recording, and Photographing Damage: All damaged flood <br />control facilities in the channels or appurtenant facilities shall be <br />located, recorded, and photographed. <br />2. Checking Slide Gates: All debris shall be removed around slide gates, <br />and gates shall be checked for proper operation. <br />3. Initiating Repairs: Applicable temporary or permanent repair of <br />damaged flood control facilities shall be initiated. <br />4. Inventorying equipment and materials: Equipment and stockpiled <br />materials shall be inventoried and restocked for subsequent storm <br />periods. <br /> <br />Reporting - A full and complete report shall be made to the Public Works <br />Services Director, including but not limited to a description of the various <br />phases of the flood damage to flood control facilities, damage to public <br />and private property, and any other pertinent data. The report shall also <br />contain photographs showing high flows, storm surges, wave action, and <br />any damage to project facilities. Copies of the report shall be submitted to <br />the City Manager. <br /> <br />VI. Reauest for Flood EmerQencv Assistance <br /> <br />When it is evident that the City staff, equipment and/or funds will be exhausted <br />and other local resources will be insufficient to cope with the situation, then <br />assistance may be requested from the San Mateo County Office of Emergency <br />Services. Such requests shall be made by the City Manager. Upon <br />recommendation of the Public Works Services Director, the City Manager shall <br />activate the EOC. <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />April 2008 <br />
