6.1 G <br /> Page 4 <br /> ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> LEASE AGREEMENT <br /> (Lease Area 2B} <br /> THIS L�ASE AGREEMENT ("Agreement" or "LEASE") is entered into as of <br /> � <br /> 2008, by and befinreen: the Redevelopmenf Agency of the City of Redwood City, a pubiic body, <br /> corporate and politic, duly organized and existing under the iaws of the State of California <br /> ("Agency" or "Lessor"), and Nancy Radciiffe, doing business as "Lulu's�, hereinafter referred to <br /> as"Lessee.° <br /> RECITALS: <br /> A. WHEREAS, on May 3, 2005, the City of Redwaod City {"City") entered into an <br /> agreemen# with the County of San Mateo, "Cooperative Agreemen# befiween the <br /> Caunty of San Mateo and the City of Redwood City for Preservati�n of the Historic <br /> County Courthouse Block, Removal of the South Annex, Reconstruction of the <br /> Courthouse Farade and Creation of a Courthouse Plaza, and Grant of Easement <br /> and License", herein ("Cooperative Agreement"). <br /> B. WHEREAS, the Cooperative Agreement was amended on August 24, 2006 through <br /> the First Amer�dment to the Caaperative Agreement between the County of San <br /> Matea and the City of Redwoad City for Preservation of the Historic Cauniy <br /> Courthouse Block, Removai of fhe South Annex, Recanstruction of the Courthouse <br /> Fa�ade and Creation of a Courthouse Piaza, anci Grant of Easement and License <br /> ("First Amendment") to expand the Project to include the construction and placement <br /> of a restroom facility. <br /> C. WHEREAS, the Cooperative Agreement provides that the City may assign its <br /> easement in#erest in any or ail portions of the Courthouse Square with the consen#of <br /> the County. <br /> D. WHEREAS, pursuant ta a Partial Assignment and Assumption of Cooperative <br /> Agreement, the City has assigned certain interests in the four Concession Spaces at <br /> Courthouse Square to the Agency. <br /> E. WHEREAS, Lessor has possession of Courthouse Square Concession Space <br /> identified as Lease Area 2B (the "Premises"ar the°Lease Area"), as descxibed in the <br /> legai description and plat map ident�ed as Exhibi# "A" and illustrated in the site <br /> layout identified as Exhibit B, both of which are attached hereto and incorparated <br /> herein by reference. <br /> F. WHEREAS, Lessee wishes to lease the Premise month-to-month for up to six <br /> months for operation to seli . <br /> G. WH�REAS, Lessor and Lessee wish to enter into an agreement far the use of the <br /> Premises by Lessee, its agents, customers, contractors, and assignees. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: <br /> 1.
