EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> 6 March 2008 <br /> Justin Ezell <br /> Superintendent <br /> Department of Public Works <br /> Water Utility Services Division <br /> City of Redwood City <br /> 1400Broadway <br /> Redwood City, CA 94063 <br /> Subject: Proposal for Continuing Startup Support Services— Recycled Water Storage and <br /> Pumping System <br /> K/J Project Number B10680038 <br /> Dear Justin: <br /> We are submitting this letter proposal to follow up on discussions between the City of Redwood <br /> City (City) and Kennedy/Jenks Consultants (Kennedy/Jenks) regarding continuing startup <br /> support services through June 2008 for the City's Recycled Water Distribution Pump Station <br /> (DPS) and storage facility. The construction support services contract under which <br /> Kennedy/Jenks had been providing startup services to both SBSA and the City was funded <br /> through the end of May 2007. This current proposal has been developed in response to a <br /> request from both the City and SBSA that a new contract be established between the City and <br /> Kennedy/Jenks as a vehicle for funding the following services: <br /> 1. As-needed startup support services for the period between 25 February 2008 and <br /> 30 June 2008 (18 weeks) <br /> 2. Engineering support services related to warranty items requiring modification, as identified <br /> during a meeting held 1 October 2007 between the City, Whitley-Burchett, Kennedy/Jenks, <br /> and the Covello Group. <br /> 3.
