This proposal shall remain valid for a
period of sixty (60) days.

Project Understanding
The City of Redwood City is proposing to retain Verde Design to provide athletic design, landscape
architectural, and civil engineering design services for the athletic field renovations at Hoover Park. The
general project scope is to complete the documentation for the field replacement and to enlarge the synthetic
turf field area in order to allow for two full size soccer fields (minimum 70 yards by 110 yards) and provide
construction administration services.

We understand that the work will not be required to be publicly bid, rather will be quoted to the Turf
Company in question (FieldTurf Tarkett) as part of a warranty replacement. If these drawings are required
to be completed for public bidding, there will likely be additional work required.

Specific Scope Of Services
Verde Design proposes to provide the following services in accordance with our above stated
understanding of the project:

A. Project Start-up & Site Investigation:
1. Attend a project kick-off meeting with the City. Discuss schedule, project scope of services
and anticipated improvements (completed on 5/6/08).
2. Review all data pertinent to the project, including as-built drawings, site maps, and any
other available data for the project site.
3. Complete a comprehensive site walk to develop a visual inventory of the existing conditions.
4. Coordinate the work as required with the City and its consultants (we recommend that the
City retain a geotechnical engineer for site investigation and drainage / base
recommendations).

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE .
