Approve the Joint City Council and Planning Commission Special meeting minutes <br />of January 30, 2008. MO- 08-043 <br /> <br />B. Award of Contract - Lakeview Pump Station Improvements Project. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Approve, by motion, the Contract Documents and award of contract for the <br />Lakeview Pump Station Improvements Project to the lowest responsible bidder, <br />Casey Construction, Inc. of Emerald Hills, California, for their low bid of $546,158.00 <br />and authorize the City Manager to increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to <br />10% of the amount awarded. MO- 08-044 <br /> <br />Item pulled for discussion <br />C. Agreement for Professional Services with MHA/RMT Inc. to prepare an <br />Environmental Impact Report for Proposed Development on Laurel Way. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Approve, by motion, an agreement with MHA/RMT Inc. in the amount of <br />$159,812.00 to prepare an Environmental Impact Report (HEIR") for development <br />proposed by Laurel Way Joint Venture, and authorize the City Manager to increase <br />the agreement amount, if necessary, up to 10% of the amount approved. <br />MO-08-048 <br /> <br />D. Redwood City's Opposition to the State Legislative Analyst's Recommendation to <br />Reduce Law Enforcement Funding. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />It is recommended that the City Council authorize Mayor Foust to send letters to <br />State Senator Joe Simitian and Assemblyman Ira Ruskin expressing the City's <br />opposition to the State Legislative Analyst's recommendation to reduce law <br />enforcement funding. MO-08-045 <br /> <br />6.2 Section - Final Acceptance <br /> <br />A.
