Scope of Work: Kentfield Project - Redwood City
Page 2

7. Prepare Initial Study (including checklist), Mitigated Negative Declaration, and
any other CEQA related documents.

8. Attendance at two (2) Planning Commission meetings is estimated for budget
purposes.

Deliverable Schedule

For the environmental documents, I will provide one administrative draft, a screen check
and a final document.

Billing and Project Cost

Work will be billed at the rate of $130.00 per hour, billed in quarter-hour increments.
All hours worked will be accounted for in detail and invoiced to the City on a monthly
basis. Any and all unusual expenses incurred in the performance of this work, including
but not limited to printing and copying, photo processing, etc., will be invoiced to the
City at no additional mark-up. Mileage at the current rate permitted by the IRS (50.5
cents per mile and/or travel expenses are anticipated based on the number of site visits
and attendance of public meetings.

This proposal is intended to anticipate work over a three to six month period, at the
discretion of the City of Redwood City. Work would primarily occur off-site, but I will
be readily available to meet at City Hall or elsewhere as needed during the course of the
project. Should the project require any specialty reports (i.e. air quality, cultural
resources, noise, soils engineer, soils contamination, traffic, etc.) for the preparation of
the Initial Study, the budget would increase based on my time related to the review of
these documents on a time and materials basis.

Project costs are estimated at $13,780.00, projected as outlined in the attached Table 1,
and shall not exceed that figure without the express written permission of the City. The
project estimate is not, however, intended to be a "not-to-exceed" figure, as project and
process complexities cannot be predicted with certainty. Also, as previously indicated, it
is unknown at this time whether subconsultants would be hired for specialized analysis.

Please contact me if you have any questions or require additional information.

Sincerely,
Lorraine Weiss
Principal
LORRAINE WEISS DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT REVIEW

2
