<br />. . <br /> <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Compensation: <br /> <br />Compensation for services will be $57,500, to be paid per the following schedule: <br /> <br />$26,250 upon execution of contract <br />$26,250 August 20, 2008 <br />$ 5,000 within two weeks of event <br /> <br />Scope of Services: <br /> <br />Plan, manage, and implement The Redwood City Salsa Festival to be held September <br />20, 2008: <br /> <br />Consultant agrees to be on-site for the duration of the event. <br /> <br />Event begins with the opening of the Farmer's Market and continues from noon until 8 <br />p.m. on Broadway and Theatre Way in downtown Redwood City. The theme will be all <br />about Salsa, including decorations, salsa tasting contest, as well as Salsa Music, family <br />activities and non-profit booths <br /> <br />Key features of the event: <br /> <br />Stage one. Covered stage with shade canopy for the audience. This stage will feature <br />entertainers designed for families and youngsters under 12, with jugglers, storytellers <br />and similar artists, from noon until 6 p.m. with a Latin theme <br /> <br />Stage Two. Covered plaza stage with umbrellas tables and chairs for audience <br />members. Four salsa acts each playing 90 minutes from noon to 7:30, with intermission <br />breaks. <br /> <br />Stage Three. Covered music stage with Latin music. Four acts each playing 90 minutes, <br />from noon until 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Interactive area for youth and families. Bounce house, hands on art activities, face <br />painting, and other similar activities, themed as much as possible. <br /> <br />Professional dancers and dance competition. <br /> <br />Tours of the history museum, Fox Theatre, others that may wish to participate. <br /> <br />Food and beverage booths. Offering will be made to local restaurants to participate and <br />
