<br />we hope to get six participants. Preference will be for Latin cuisine. Local wineries <br />represented in at least three booths; cold soft drinks and water; Mexican beer offerings. <br />Booth sales will be priced to cover a small portion of the cost of the food booths (under <br />$100). Health permit costs to be paid by restaurants. <br /> <br />Salsa tasting. Designed as a fund-raiser for the Redwood City Downtown Association, <br />the salsa tasting will be designed for business entries and public entries. Entrants into <br />the contest will pay a fee $50-$75, be required to make a certain amount of salsa and <br />will offer it to the public. The public will pay a fee to participate in the tastings. Prizes <br />and plaques will be offered to the best Salsa in business and individual categories. <br /> <br />Community booths. Non-profit and other community benefit organizations will be <br />encouraged for a minimal fee ($25) to staff a booth, offer information or other activity. <br />Income generated by these charges, and sales, will be used to help pay a portion of the <br />costs of the booth structures. <br /> <br />Displays. Historical displays from fire, history museum, other organizations who wish to <br />participate. <br /> <br />Design and Implementation <br /> <br />Consultant's staff will handle the following: <br /> <br />Meet with city officials to determine permits and regulations, which are required and <br />affect an activity of this type. <br /> <br />Design and present a concept, including layout, budget and timeline. <br /> <br />Hire a graphic designer to produce an event poster. <br /> <br />Hire a publicist to produce a press release for this event, and to contract with a radio <br />station for the promotion of this event. <br /> <br />Secure all necessary health, ABC, police, fire, sound, street closure <br /> <br />Secure insurance for the event. <br /> <br />Arrange for garbage containers, dumpster and hire a staff of at least two to keep the <br />event site clean during the event. Hire crew to clean-up following the event. <br /> <br />Contact local businesses, restaurants, and non-profit organizations and solicit through <br />an application procedure, participation in this event. <br /> <br />Hire staff, solicit volunteers, and bring a minimum of four security guards, stage <br />managers. <br />
