<br />CGM:mf 7/10/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />8898 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUL 1 3 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF <br />POOL COVER AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article VII of <br /> <br />Chapter 2 of the Redwood City Code, the City Manager has <br /> <br />solicited bids for the furnishing of a pool cover to be used <br /> <br />for municipal purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said equipment; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, LIBERTY ENTERPRISES is the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder for the furnishing (including installation) of said <br /> <br />equipment, and it is the intention of this Council to award <br /> <br />said bid to Liberty Enterprises; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Liberty Enterprises in the total lump sum of <br /> <br />Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-five and Fifty/lOO Dollars <br /> <br />($7,995.50), for the furnishing (including installation) <br /> <br />of a pool cover for Sid Herkner Memorial Swim Center is hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equipment. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an <br /> <br />agreement with Liberty Enterprises for the furnishing (including <br /> <br />installation) of the above mentioned equipment in accordance with, <br /> <br />and subject to, bidder's proposal. <br /> <br />3. Any informalities in the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />hereof are waived. <br /> <br />4. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the furnishing of the above mentioned equipment, other than the <br /> <br />bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br />8898 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
