Motion carries by roll <br />call vote with Council Member Ira absent <br /> <br />Mayor Foust reiterated the actions taken by the Council via the Consent Calendar. Vice <br />Mayor Howard asked that Mr. Ingram consider the request posed by Mr. James. <br /> <br />Council Member Ira arrived and joined the Council. <br /> <br />7. Staff Report <br /> <br />A. Proposed Initiative Measure Amending the Charter of the City of Redwood City - <br />San Francisco Bay Front and City Park Land. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Discussion of the Proposed Initiative Measure. <br /> <br />Mayor Foust announced that City Attorney Yamamoto would present a brief report and then <br />Council would receive public comment. She explained that questions posed by the public <br />would be written down and staff would come back with responses. <br /> <br />City Attorney Yamamoto presented a brief overview of what had happened to date, i.e. the <br />filing of a notice of intent to circulate a petition on March 13,2008. Mr. Yamamoto provided <br />details on the creation of the ballot title and summary that were released on March 28, <br />2008. Mr. Yamamoto explained the next steps on the process. The areas impacted by the <br />proposed initiative were shown on a map.
