City General Plan Update Process & Stanford <br />University Project <br />Stanford Project submitted in middle of City’s General Plan Update process. <br />? <br />EIRsfor Stanford Project & City’s New General Plan will be on separate, <br />? <br />parallel paths, but will be coordinated. <br />For example, staff will ask the EIR consultant to explore Alternatives to the <br />? <br />proposed project including: <br />Reduced Scale Project Alternative <br />? <br />No Project Alternative <br />? <br />The No Project Alternative would be more than a consideration ofexisting conditions. <br />? <br />It will explore campus redevelopment with “Light Industrial”or large scale R&D-type <br />businesses that are currently permitted under the existing Zoning and General Plan <br />designations and how projects, such as the Stanford University project, fit into larger <br />citywide land use goals and policy direction. <br />
