(MTCo) to incorporate all hand-marked,
construction as-built changes into the final electronic AutoCAD files. Then the complete set of
construction as-built plans with all as-built markups incorporated would be converted from
AutoCAD to Microstation format in accordance with Caltrans requirements for Encroachment
Permit projects. There are approximately 330 sheets in the full plan set. The final Microstation
files would be provided to Caltrans for archival along with one 11 "x17" unbound, printed set.
Two 11 "x17" unbound, printed sets would also be provided - one each to the cities of Redwood
City and Belmont for their files.

We have received the final, as-built markups from the contractor via transmittal from Greg
Aldrich of Harris & Associates, the construction manager for the project, dated May 27, 2008.
The markups in these plans would be considered the final and complete set of as-built markups
that would be incorporated. We have reviewed this as-built markup set and there are
approximately 32 sheets that have as-built changes marked from the contractor or from hand
marked changes provided by the RE.

It is our understanding that the final Microstation files to be submitted to Caltrans will not have
to conform to the Caltrans CADD drafting standards for Microstation levels, line colors, etc., as
long as the information prints correctly and the as-built changes are shown on the Microstation
as-built level which is Level 62.

618 Walnut Street, Suite 204 San Carlos, CA 94070
www.markthomas.com Tel: (650) 363-8277 Fax: (650) 363-8279
