<br />7E-2 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Additionally, the HHCC has been gathering information from housing experts and reviewing <br />best practices from communities throughout the State on housing policies that lead to <br />production. They will continue these efforts and are ready to advise City Council as the <br />Housing Element work continues. <br /> <br />Further discussion on housing will also be held at the upcoming Boards, Commissions, and <br />Committee meetings, and the community-wide discussion on land use alternatives <br />scheduled for September 27 at Courthouse Square. Housing will also be discussed at a <br />joint study session tentatively scheduled for September 9th with the Planning Commission <br />and Housing and Human Concerns Committee. Policy recommendations germinating from <br />these discussions will eventually be forwarded to the City Council for further discussion, <br />sometime in late fall. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council could postpone consideration and discussion of anyone of the items <br />outlined in the recommendation section of this report. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this study session discussion.
