<br />ENVIRON/hENT At <br />V, I S ION <br /> <br />2550 NINTH STREET <br />SUITE 205 <br />BERKELEY CA 94710 <br />510.540.4882 <br />FAX 510,540,1154 <br /> <br />Proposal- Shadow Diagrams <br />Stanford Development- Redwood City, CA <br />April 22,2009 <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br /> <br />Task 1: Data Review and Site Reconnaissance <br />Review pertinent project data and conduct a site visit to observe the project site and <br />surroundings. Prior to the site visit, consult with City staff to determine location of <br />potentially sensitive shadow receptors. <br /> <br />Task 2: Shadow Impact Diaarams <br />Environmental Vision will produce shadow impact diagrams for the proposed project. <br />Shadows for three times of day will be shown at four times of year: winter and summer <br />solstices (December 21 and June 21), when the sun is at its lowest and highest, and spring <br />and fall equinoxes (March 21 and September 21), when day and night are of equal length. <br />A total of 12 black ~nd white diagrams showing existing and future (with project) shadow <br />patterns will be produced. The diagrams will be based on computer modeling of shadow <br />effects associated with the proposed building massing. <br /> <br />Task 3: Coordination <br />Coordinate with project team and City staff to obtain and provide pertinent information in a <br />timely fashion. <br /> <br />Data Requirements- Both digital (CAD) and hardcopy format, are requested <br />. Existing site topography and proposed grading with property lines; <br />. Proposed site plan showing building footprint, driveways etc.; <br />. Floor plan and elevations drawings for proposed building; <br />. Building roof plan; <br />. Map of the surrounding areashowing existing building footprints with building heights; <br />. Aerial photograph of site and surrounding area; and <br /> <br />Budget Estimate <br />The estimated cost to complete the work outlined above including site photography, visual <br />simulations, and shadow diagrams is $5,200 including labor and expenses. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL VISION <br />
