AestheNcs <br /> • Site should benefit from,and be activated by,creative enhancements. <br /> • Site shauld be free of undesirable or incongruent features <br /> • Cansider site's proximity to,and relationship with,existing artworks, <br /> structures,thoroughfares,Iandscaping,and other cultural,functionai, and <br /> design elements. <br /> 2. Public Accessibility <br /> • Site must provide public accessibility to ariwork. <br /> • Site must be inside the Redwood City city limit�. <br /> • Site sktould be on pnblic property whenever possible. <br /> 3. Functionality <br /> • The function of the site shauld be preserved,unless changing the functian <br /> of the space is intended. <br /> • If a funcrional artwork is being placed,the site should complement the <br /> functian of the artwork. <br /> • Landmarks,gateways to the city,and downtown attractions should be a <br /> priority <br /> • The cost and impact of development and maintenance of the site shauld he <br /> considered. <br /> 4. Security&Safety <br /> • Sites should be ehosen such that the possibility of theft and vandalism is <br /> minimized.
