�����'���" �.,,- 6.2A <br /> Page 10 <br /> CITY OF REDW�OD CITY <br /> LIBRARY INFORMATIC)N TECHNOLOGY C��RD(NATOR <br /> DEFtNITION <br /> To coordinate the planning, develapment, implementation, and monitoring of aIl Library <br /> information systems: to assist the Library Director in development and implementation <br /> of long and short range planning relative to the iibrary's information system. <br /> DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br /> The Library Information Technology Coordinator is distinguished fram the �.ibrary <br /> Information Technology Technician in that the former is respansible for overall <br /> coordination of the Library Department's information systems and acts as a fiaison <br /> between the Library Department, IT Division, Peninsula Library System, and third party <br /> vendors. <br /> SUPERVtSION RECEtVED AND EXERCtSED <br /> Immediate supervision is provided by a Library Division Manager. <br /> May exercise direct supervision over lower level s#aff. <br /> EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL AND IMPORTANT DUTIES — Duties may include, but are <br /> not limited to, the following: <br /> 9. Coordinate the planning, de�elopment, implementation and monitaring of all <br /> library computer systems. <br /> 2. Identify library computer systems objectives, determines method and timing of <br /> implementation, and organize equipment ar�d activities needed to accomplish <br /> objectivss. <br /> 3. Investigate, trouble shoot and resolve computer hardware and software <br /> probfems, <br /> 4. Monitor and provide support for Internet access. <br /> 5. Manitor and provide support for shared public use computers. <br /> fi. Provide tec�nical support to network server administrative and maintenance <br /> operations. <br />
