Vice Mayor Howard stated she is the chair of the Peninsula League Alliance <br />and she spoke about two projects, the free shuttle, with the pilot project starting <br />on June 3, 2008, and a ribbon cutting and naming contest later for the shuttle. <br />She also spoke on May 15, 2008 and "Bike to Work Day." She provided <br />information about the energizer stations. On C/CAG, she reported that a <br />reserve policy has been in place. <br /> <br />4. Mayor Foust stated "Pride Ride" would be a great name for the shuttle program. <br />She stated the Chamber of Commerce interviewed her for the Citizen's <br />Community. She spoke about the Strategic Plan subcommittee and the new <br />draft coming out. As part of the Transportation Authority, she spoke about the <br />Finance Committee and how to better leverage the tax payer. She reported that <br />she went to a Senior Affairs Commission and how much she appreciated Betty <br />Moran, Marie Walsh and Jean Ann Harrison and thanked them for their service. <br /> <br />5. Council Member Aguirre announced the upcoming Immigrant Festival on May <br />17,2008. <br /> <br />6. Vice Mayor Howard announced the upcoming Mayor's Beautification Awards <br />and that the deadline is May 30, 2008. <br /> <br />10. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Council Member Pierce asked to adjourn in memory of Harold McCannass. She provided <br />details of his life and stated he will be missed. <br /> <br />MIS Piercellra to adjourn at 9:57 p.m. in memory of Harold McCannass.
