Adherence to these conditions would ensure that the subject <br />use would comply with the general welfare of the community. <br /> <br />Following the issuance of the Notice of Official Action, the Linden Street Neighborhood <br />Group filed an appeal requesting a reversal of the Zoning Administrator's decision to <br />approve the subject use. Once the appeal had been filed with the City Clerk, the <br />applicant, Goodwill Industries, was notified. On September 18, 2008. Goodwill <br />Industries submitted written correspondence formally withdrawing their application for a <br />Use Permit for the property at 2424 EI Camino Real (see Related Document No.6 on <br />file in the City Clerk's Office). Even though Goodwill has expressed their affirmative <br />abandonment of the proposed use at 2424 EI Camino Real, the Use Permit approved <br />by the Zoning Administrator would remain valid up to one year after its issuance, per <br />Article 42.6.A of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance. Thus, the City Council is being <br />asked to rescind the Use Permit, Architectural Permit, and Sign Permit granted to <br />Goodwill Industries for the subject property.
