Albanese, Inc. as the lowest responsive and responsible <br />bidder. The bid received from Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is 16% lower than the <br />engineer's estimate of $575,000.00. Staff attributes this variance to a very competitive <br />bidding environment. Staff believes that the lowest responsive and responsible bid of <br />$485,272.00 is reasonable and recommends awarding the contract to Joseph J. <br />Albanese, Inc. <br /> <br />AL TERNA TIVES <br />Council may choose not to approve the contract documents for this project or direct staff <br />to redesign and rebid this project. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds for the Hoover Park projects have been approved and appropriated in the Capital <br />Projects Fund budget.
