. . SECTION 55. The Board of Trustees shall have the po"::er to stop the con- struction of any building or the makil1[; of any alterations or repairs to any building when the same is being done in a rechless and careless manner or in violation of any of the terms of this Ordinance, and to order in writing or verbally any and all persons in any way or in any manner whatever engaged in so constructing, atlering or repairil~ any such building to stop and desist therefrom, and the person or persons 80 ordered shall immediately comply therewith. Unsafe Construction. SECTIOn 56. Yihenever in the judgment of the Board of Trustees of said TO'vvn, any buiJ.ding or any portion thereof" or any appurtenance thereto, or any structure or any chimney" smokestack, stove" oven" furnace or thing connected with any building or upon any premises or place, is dangerousm defective or unsafe, t~:e said Board shall notify the owner thereof and shall order and cause t~.i.e same to be torn dovin, altered, repair- ed or rebuilt, or such 1Nork to be done thereon as the said Board deems nec- essary to render the same safe. Apyointment of Inspectors. SECTIOlJ 57. The Board of Trustees of t~1e Town of Eedvlood City shall have the authority under this ordinance to appoint such inspectors or other representatives for the proper enforeement of this ordinance and to fix their duties ~~d compensation. Inspector's right to Enter --uildings. SECTION 58. The Inspectors of the Board of Trustees and of the Department of Health, and of the Department of Fire.and of the Department of Police, so far as may be necessary for the performance of their duties, shall r~ve the right to enter any new or unoccupied building, or any buiJ.ding under construction, repair , alteration or rettloval" or any building alleged to be unsafe" or a menace to life arcd limb or property" upon sho\"ling their badge of office. 29.
