Fashion an ordinance that will produce attractive signs <br /> 2. Limit the size of projecting signs <br /> 3. Citations and penalties: $100, $200, $500 (for 5 days) are processed by <br /> Traffic Court <br /> 3. The method used to calculate sign area and if window signs arc included in <br /> the area calculations <br /> 4. Painted window signs factored into total calculation--difficult to enforce the <br /> number of days a window has been painted <br /> 5.Include temporary banners in a sign ordinance <br /> 6.Establish criteria for historic signs <br /> 7.Maintenance of signs <br /> 8.Product signs associated with a business <br /> 9.The frontage of the building versus the size of the building <br /> 10.Inconsistent enforcement would irritate businesses <br /> 11.Unfair to treat areas differently <br /> 12.A-frames not allowed; freestanding signs in Broadway Mall allowed <br /> <br /> <br />
