<br />As you can determine from the larger budget, this year we plan to ramp up <br />the activities. Augmenting our traditional seven, we are inviting more <br />ethnic groups to participate. We have contacted the Basque Cultural <br />Center and they will be with us this year . We are working to engage <br />another three groups before our October committee meeting. It is <br />anticipated by doing this we will drive attendance for the event upward. <br />We have scheduled the Day for May 16, 2009. <br /> <br />The increased activity necessitates the larger budget. However, our <br />request from the city remains at the same level as last year. We will build <br />up the level of support by asking for more corporate sponsorships. We <br />have also decided to change our promotional plans a bit.
