RedWllml
OIlY!!:':
~

City of Redwood City, California
Response to Request for Proposal For
Overhead Cost Allocation Plan

Challenge #2
Completing the project
in a timely manner.

Planned solution: The proposed project team not only has the ability
to complete the project in a timely manner. but also has the availability to
complete the project in a timely manner. As in every cost allocation
project, City staff involvement is vital to the ultimate success of the
project. However. the project consultants are responsible for completing
the project in a timely manner. These experienced consultants will
request data as quickly as possible. in a way that is most efficient for City
personnel. while also proactively addressing issues and seeking mutually
agreeable outcomes to prevent failure to meet deadlines.

Challenge #3
The unexpected.

Planned solution: The proposed project consultants bring years of
cost allocation plan preparation experience with numerous California
counties. As a result of this experience, our key project staff. Mr.
Burgess. Mr. Wakefield and Mr. Ballard. know to prepare for the
unexpected.

While every project is unique and includes issues and concerns specific
to each individual client, in general. many issues or concerns within a
project are common to other projects. The proposed project
consultants are adept at troubleshooting and applying years of
experience from this and similar projects. to either head-off. or resolve
the unexpected issues or concerns that will undoubtedly arise in this
project.

Technical Methodology

MGT consultants will adhere to OMB Circular A-8? principals to prepare the cost allocation
plan with reconciliations to the prior year (roll forwards).

Graphic Depiction of the Proposed MGT Work Plan

We have included the proposed MGT work plan and approach in both a graphic flow chart,
shown on the following page, and also descriptively in Appendix B.

MGT

13

Of AMElliCA-, INC
