Mayor Foust and Vice Mayor Howard recognized and thanked the Pride and <br /> Beautification Committee and the City Manager's staff for their work on the finrentieth <br /> Pride and Beautification Recognition Ceremony. Vice Mayor Howard said this program is <br /> designed to recognize community efforts to maintain, improve, beautify, foster civic pride, <br /> and make a Redwood City better and more attractive place to live and work (Presentation <br /> on file). City Council Members joined the Mayor and Vice Mayor at the front of the dais to f <br /> honor Mr. Pete Hughes. Vice Mayor Howard said that for the last ten years Mr. Hughes <br /> has been the driving force to clean up the levies in Redwood Shores by first coming up <br /> with the idea and then organizing and cultivating volunteers and local businesses to <br /> support the effort. Council thanked Mr. Hughes for his many efforts. Mr. Hughes thanked <br /> Council and recognized fellow volunteers for their work.
