He also believes the goal <br />and intent tonight is to create solutions based on future views and not focused on past <br />views. He explained that civic imagination and political will - will need to go hand in hand. <br />Mayor Foust thanked the Planning staff and she also supports more measurable statistics <br />on environmental issues and is open toinnovative ideas such as floating communities. <br />She highlighted the fact that an election breeds competition and it is not a positive issue. <br />Mayor Foust proposed inviting the various community groups to craft options that marry <br />and blend the best of both worlds. The Mayor said that it does not have to be a <br />competition with winners and losers but the focus should be on the end result and the <br />quality of life for the community. <br /> <br />8.
