Approve, by motion, the recommended name of "Climate Best Express" for the <br />shuttle providing Mid-day Community Shuttle Service. <br /> <br />Minute Order 08-232 <br /> <br />2. Approve and authorize, by motion, funding for Year 2 of the Community Shuttle <br />Service Pilot Program. Minute Order 08-233 <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Howard introduced the topic and explained the numerous stakeholders <br />involved in the process. She added that the commuter shuttle route was implemented in <br />April 2007 and the Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance (the Alliance) has been <br />instrumental in all these efforts. Marc Stevenson, with the Alliance, was present and <br />addressed Council providing details on finances and ridership (presentation on file). <br />Council asked questions of Mr. Stevenson regarding demographics, schedule and <br />ridership patterns. <br /> <br />Ms. Christine Maley-Grubl, Alliances' Executive Director, presented to the Council the <br />marketing side of the program.
