B. Ongoing Matters
1. Update on Elwood StreeUSequoia High Union School District
Jason Culverhouse thanked the City Council for all its efforts in this matter. He said that
the Sequoia High Union School District wants to adopt a resolution exempting them from
certain regulations and he disagrees with this attempt. He would like the City to
commence action because in his opinion the board is acting in an arbitrary manner.
City Manager Ingram provided an update on the topic. He stat that staff is communicating
with neighbors and it seems that the traffic has improved. Regarding the broader issue of
the relationship between the neighbors and the School District there will be a
process/discussion coming up. Under the auspices of Mayor Foust, the City will host a
through the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center. Mayor Foust asked that Mr. Ingram
inquire about the resolution Mr. Culverhouse mentioned.
2. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) — Redwood Shores Levees.
Mr. Ingram shared the work that has been done up to date, specifically the maintenance
projects that had to be completed prior to the rainy season. The City Manager
explained his concerns with the current time frame and how he has met with the County's
Public Works Director.
3.
