(b) Any such abandoned driveway shall be removed and replaced with <br /> standard curb, gutter and sidewalk to fit the existing line and grade of <br /> adjacent standard curb, gutter and sidewalk, within 30 days after the <br /> driveway has become abandoned. <br /> ( c) Any driveway abandoned as above defined and not removed or <br /> reconstructed within 30 days after its abandonment, shall justify city <br /> in following the procedure set out in Article I of this ordinance, in <br /> removing the driveway and replacing the same with standard curb, gutter <br /> and sidewalk. <br /> SECTION 7. A driveway is defined as being any approach to or from <br /> the street over and upon the gutter, curb, parking or sidewalk to permit <br /> vehicular traffic into the abutting property. <br /> SECTION 8. Replacement of curb, gutter and sidewalk at any location <br /> where city or the property owner or any other person has removed a tree <br /> or trees in the parkway, shall become the due responsibility of the pro- <br /> perty owner abutting on such parkway to replace the same to original line <br /> and grade, and upon failure u: the property owner to do so, city shall <br /> have the right to proceed under the provisions of Article I of this <br /> ordinance and to make the costs of restoring or replacing said curb, <br /> gutter or sidewalk a lien can the property in the manner therein provided. <br /> SECTION 9, Whenever any building is constructed on or moved to any <br /> parcel of real property in the City of Redwood City, which parcel fronts <br /> on a street which is improved with a permanent concrete curbing, it shall <br /> be mandatory that a standard concrete sidewalk be installed on such pro- <br /> perty or the person moving or constructing said building on said property. <br /> In the event saide sidewalk is rot constructed as herein provided, the <br /> City may proceed under the provision of Article I of this ordinance to <br /> install the same and to make the costs of such installation a lien on the <br /> property in the manner herein provided. <br /> SECTION 10. Whenever 50% of the property of any block fronting <br /> upon a permanent concrete curb located on the official line and grade of <br /> said street becomes improved by the erection of residences or other <br /> buildings, it shall be mandatory that all property owners in said block, <br /> whether said property be improved or not, shall construct a regulation <br /> concrete sidewalk for the continuous length of said block, in accordance <br /> with plans and specifications of the city engineer and subject to his <br /> supervision and approval., In the event said sidewalk is not constructed <br /> as herein provided, the city may proceed under the provision of Article I <br /> of this ordinance to install the some and to make the costs of such in- <br /> stallation a lien on the property in the manner therein provided. <br /> SECTION 11. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with <br /> this ordinance are hereby repealed, including specifically Section 6 of <br /> Article I of Ordinance No. 333, passed and adopted by the Council of <br /> Redwood City on March 1L!, 1932, as amended, and Ordinance No. 402, passed <br /> and adopted by the Council of Redwood City on October 18, 1937, as <br /> amended. <br /> SECTION 12. Any person violating any of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction <br /> thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding the sum of x,.500.00 or <br /> by imprisonment in the County Jail of San Mateo County, California, for <br /> a period not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> SECTION 13.
