Marketing <br /> <br /> Contractor shall comply with City's affirmative marketing plan for HOME assisted <br /> housing. Contractor shall select eligible HOME tenants from a pool of applicants <br /> residing in the incorporated limits of the City of Redwood City no later than the date on <br /> which construction will begin or in the case of vacant units, immediately upon <br /> completion of rehabilitation work or the earliest date unit is habitable for occupancy. <br /> Contractor shall include as part of its marketing efforts, outreach to homeless and at-risk <br /> of being homeless households transitioning through one of the various homeless and self <br /> sufficiency assistance programs operating in the City of Redwood City. Kainos will be <br /> required by the City to give preference exclusively to persons with developmental <br /> disabilities to meet the City's Consolidated Plan goals of expanding the supply of <br /> affordable housing for special needs populations and persons with disabilities. <br /> <br />4. Income Affordability and Occupancy Restriction <br /> <br /> In accordance with the provisions of the HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) <br /> Program, the units rehabilitated on this property shall be subject to HOME Program <br /> requirements and shall be at all times, be occupied by qualified low income households. <br /> A Qualified low-income household shall: <br /> <br />· have a household income no greater than 50% of the area median income established <br /> by HUD for San Marco County, <br /> <br /> · shall be a resident within the incorporated limits of the City of Redwood City prior to <br /> the time of application, and <br /> <br />· shall be a person with developmental disabilities, as defined by the City's <br /> Consolidated Plan which documents housing for special needs populations and <br /> persons with disabilities <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
