(c) Naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, its officers, boards, <br /> commissions, employees, and agents, as additional insureds; and <br /> (d) Providing that Contractor's insurance coverage shall be primary <br /> insurance with respect to City, its Council, officers, boards, commissions, <br /> employees, and agents, and any insurance or self-insurance maintained by <br /> City for itself, its Council, officers, boards, commissions, employees, or <br /> agents shall be in excess of Contractor's insurance and not contributory <br /> with it. <br /> <br /> 6. NON-DISCRIMINATION <br /> <br /> Contractor shall comply with the non-discrimination requirements <br /> described below: <br /> <br /> A. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 <br /> <br /> (1) Pursuant to Section 514 (Public Law 93-112), the Contractor <br /> agrees that no otherwise qualified persons with disabilities shall, <br /> solely by reason of a disability, be excluded from the participation <br /> in, be denied benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in the <br /> performance of this contract or in the selection of low income <br /> owners to purchase the dwelling to be built on the "Property." <br /> <br /> (2) Compliance of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, <br /> as amended, requires that all benefits, aids and services are made <br /> available to persons with disabilities on an equivalent basis with <br /> those received by non-disabled persons. Contractor shall agree to <br /> be in compliance with Section 504 requirements by developing a <br /> plan for compliance to be submitted to the Section 504 <br /> Coordinator as soon as possible but not later than by the close of <br /> escrow for this acquisition. <br /> <br /> B. Affirmative Action. <br /> <br /> Contractor certifies that it is in compliance with the Equal Employment <br /> Opportunity Requirements of Executive Order No 11246, as amended by <br /> Executive Order No 1375, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the <br /> California Fair Employment Practices Act and any other federal or state <br /> laws pertaining to equal employment opportunity, and that it will not <br /> discriminate against any employee or appldcant for employment or <br /> opportunity to purchase the dwelling to be built on the "property." on the <br /> basis of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical <br /> or mental disability, marital status, sexual preference, or political <br /> <br />8/15/00 <br /> <br /> <br />
