<br /> C. Fair Employment Practices
<br />
<br /> (1) In the performance of this contract, the Contractor agrees to
<br /> not discriminate against any employee or applicant for
<br /> employment because of race, religion, color, national origin,
<br /> ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital status,
<br /> sexual preference, or political affiliation. The contractor agrees to
<br /> take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and
<br /> that employees are treated during employment, without regard to
<br /> their race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age,
<br /> physical or mental disability, marital status, sexual preference, or
<br /> political affiliation. Such action shall include, but not be limited
<br /> to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion or transfers;
<br /> recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates
<br /> of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training,
<br /> including apprenticeship. The Contractor agrees to post in
<br /> conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for
<br /> employment, notices to be provided by the City of Redwood City
<br /> setting forth the provisions of this Fair Employment Practices
<br /> section.
<br />
<br /> (2) The Contractor agrees to permit access to his records of
<br /> employment, employment advertisements, application forms, and
<br /> other pertinent data and records by the State Fair Employment
<br /> Practices Commission, or any other agency of the State of
<br /> California designated by the awarding authority, for the purposes
<br /> of investigation to ascertain compliance with the Fair Employment
<br /> Practices section of this contract.
<br />
<br /> D. Nondiscrimination Based on Disability.
<br />
<br /> Contractor hereby agrees that it will comply with the provisions of Section
<br /> 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, providing equal
<br /> access and reasonable accommodations in employment programs and
<br /> services to persons who are disabled.
<br />
<br /> E. Interest of Public Officials.
<br />
<br /> No members, officers, employees, or agents of the City of Redwood City,
<br /> no member of the City Council and no other public official who exercises
<br /> any function or responsibility with respect to this Agreement or
<br /> Contractor's Program during his or his tenure, or for one year thereafter,
